Treatments to Rejuvenate Aging Hands

Although facial rejuvenation treatments are always in-demand, it’s important not to neglect your hands, because they reveal your true age. Aging hands are characterized by wrinkles, prominent veins and tendons, and dark spots. Hand rejuvenation treatments add volume to the skin and target signs of aging.

Whether your hands are just starting to show signs of aging, or they simply look old, the treatments we have available at FACE Skincare Medical Wellness in Michigan, will get them looking full and youthful again.

What Treatment Options Are Available For Aging Hands?

Laser Treatments: Laser skin resurfacing can get hands looking younger by encouraging the growth of new collagen and elastin.  These structural proteins strengthen the underlying support structure of the skin and make old hands look fuller, firmer and more youthful.  Laser energy is also used on the hands to lessen pigmentation.

Radiesse Filler: Radiesse is FDA approved for correcting volume loss in the hands, and is a very effective way to get old hands looking young again.   Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) gel microspheres and when injected into the skin, it stimulates the production of collagen, which adds volume and improves skin quality.  Radiesse also smooths wrinkles and makes tendons and veins in the hands less prominent.  The results are immediate and can last up to 2 years.

BBL HERO: BBL HERO can help to restore youthfulness to the look of your hands by utilizing non-ablative laser technology to resurface and rejuvenate.

Alma-hybrid: The Alma Hybrid is the latest skin rejuvenation technology, and the most advanced resurfacing laser in the world. Hybrid is 50% more powerful than traditional CO2 models, while being a 50% faster treatment.

Chemical Peels: Chemical peels can also rejuvenate old hands.  Chemical peels exfoliate the outer layer of skin and strip away dead skin cells that make the hands look old and dry.  Hand rejuvenation using a chemical peel, involves the application of a chemical solution to the hands, to create a controlled injury to tissue.  As the old cell slough off and the skin heals, the new skin cells will make the hands look fuller and younger, and feel softer.

Is There Any Downtime?

Downtime after laser resurfacing varies depending on the type of treatment performed. Minimal downtime is required after chemical peels, depending on the peel that was done.  There is typically no recovery time after Radiesse injectable treatment.
