FACE adds Infini to its repertoire of over two dozen laser and facial devices to target aging faster. Infini is a non-ablative fractional radiofrequency device that creates renewed collagen for the reversal of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, and scarred skin. The ability to target multiple skin imperfections is what makes this type of technology very viable in the nonsurgical arena.
The INFINI laser combines fractional radiofrequency energy with microneedling to target wrinkles, acne scars, and loose skin. This treatment works by sending energy deep into the dermis without damaging the skin’s surface.
By using tiny microneedles, the laser creates small punctures in the skin. These micropunctures allow radiofrequency energy to reach deeper layers. The heat generated helps stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which tightens the skin.
Because the surface of the skin remains unharmed, the procedure is more comfortable for patients and requires little recovery time. It is especially effective in areas such as the neck, forehead, and around the eyes.
This targeted approach results in a smoother and firmer appearance over time, with continued improvements as the skin naturally heals.
Being non-ablative, Infini doesn’t have any social downtime, except slight erythema and edema the same day, and makeup can be worn the next day, along with the ability to return to regular activity.
Infini came out just over a year ago but didn’t pick up real steam until lately, as even the inventors of this technology, Lutronic Corporation, didn’t realize it’s true ability until studies have come out to push the envelope on the amount of energy combined with the high degree in heat, which has produced results unforeseen in non-ablative procedures.
FACE founder, Holly CaSaroll states, “We now have a no downtime device that is a three-in-one punch for addressing multiple issues all at the same time. In just three treatments, spaced one month apart, people can expect dramatic changes in aging, elasticity, and scarring.”
The Infini is far superior to other fractional radiofrequency devices on the market. It gets hotter at 85 degrees Celsius (CO2 is 100 degrees Celsius), which creates collagen contraction (tightening) almost immediately. The way it can do this without harm to the skin is by gold-insulated pins, that allows the energy to go only to the last 200 microns of the needle so you have more targeted energy right where it is supposed to be. The treatment can also be completely customizable up to three and a half millimeters deep in the skin. So you can target superficial imperfections as well as deeper dermal issues.
The INFINI laser can be used on various areas of the face and body. It is particularly effective for treating fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and skin laxity. Patients commonly use it to target issues on the forehead, neck, and around the eyes.
This treatment is also suitable for improving skin texture, tightening loose skin, and reducing the appearance of large pores. It can address deep scars from acne or other injuries by promoting new collagen growth.
Another key benefit of INFINI is that it works well on all skin types, even for individuals with darker skin tones. The ability to customize the depth of the treatment ensures that the laser can target both surface-level and deeper skin issues, offering more comprehensive results.
Patients can expect to see firmer and smoother skin as the treatment stimulates natural collagen production.
By comparison, FACE carries Ultherapy, a focused ultrasound device, which is the only FDA-Cleared device to physically lift the brow, jowls, and neck. CaSaroll likes to use this as an alternative to a facelift, then use Infini to address lines and wrinkles, while continuing the lifting process in the skin. CaSaroll states “Ultherapy works as deep as the muscle, as it takes three months to fully see the results, and Infini works more shallow and has an immediate lifting effect due to the radio frequency and temperature.
The combination of these two therapies allows us to have not just a facelift effect, but rather a well-rounded effect addressing wrinkles and scars, along with lifting, in a fast no downtime combination.”
While there are many skin treatments available, INFINI stands out for its ability to treat both the surface and deeper layers of the skin. Compared to traditional CO2 lasers or Ultherapy, INFINI offers more precise targeting without damaging the top layer of the skin.
CO2 lasers work by vaporizing the outer layer of the skin, which can lead to longer recovery times and a higher risk of complications for some patients. In contrast, INFINI uses microneedles to penetrate the skin and deliver radiofrequency energy, reducing downtime and minimizing side effects.
Ultherapy, on the other hand, uses ultrasound energy to treat deeper tissues, but it doesn’t address surface skin concerns as effectively as INFINI. Combining both treatments, as some patients choose, can offer more complete results by lifting and tightening the muscles with Ultherapy and smoothing out wrinkles and scars with INFINI.
After an INFINI laser treatment, patients typically experience minor redness and swelling, which usually resolves within 24 to 48 hours. Unlike more aggressive laser procedures, there is minimal downtime, allowing patients to return to their normal activities within a day or two.
The results from INFINI are not immediate. The skin begins to improve over time as collagen production continues for several months after the procedure. Most patients see noticeable changes in skin texture, tightness, and wrinkle reduction after the first session.
For optimal results, it’s recommended to undergo a series of 3 to 5 treatments, spaced about a month apart. The full effects of the treatment can take up to 6 months as the skin continues to regenerate and heal.
While INFINI laser treatments are generally safe, there are some potential side effects to be aware of. The most common include redness, swelling, and a mild burning sensation immediately after the treatment. These symptoms typically subside within a day or two.
In rare cases, patients may experience bruising or temporary hyperpigmentation, especially those with darker skin tones. Proper post-treatment care, such as avoiding sun exposure and using sunscreen, can help minimize these risks.
More serious side effects, like infection or scarring, are extremely rare. Following your physician’s aftercare instructions is crucial to prevent any complications and promote faster healing.
The cost of INFINI laser treatments can vary depending on the treatment area and the number of sessions required. On average, the price ranges between $1,000 and $3,000 per session. Factors that influence the cost include the size of the treatment area, the geographic location of the clinic, and the expertise of the provider.
Most patients require 3 to 5 sessions to achieve optimal results, meaning the total cost can range from $3,000 to $15,000 for a full course of treatment. It’s important to consult with your provider to get an accurate estimate based on your individual needs.
Keep in mind that INFINI treatments are considered cosmetic and are usually not covered by insurance.
